WPT tournaments in Morocco
Marrakech, in Morocco, is set to play host to a WPT leg, bringing the WPT to parts of the world that have never experienced a major poker tournament before.
Steve Lipscomb, WPT CEO, said; “We’re very glad to offer WPT tournaments in Morocco. Our goal is to bring value to our partners and WPTE shareholders as we expand our global footprint.”
The WPT will run high stakes tournaments in Marrakech for the next three years.
The WPT seems set to go head to head with the European Poker Tour (EPT) which has dominated the major poker tournament scene in Europe in recent years.
