Philadelphia Pressured By State Senate
Philadelphia has had enough time to get their two approved casinos up and running, that is according to several Senators.
Pennsylvania state Senate is preparing to play hard ball with the city to get the casinos built.
A Senate Committee voted in favor of withholding up to USD64 million a year in economic development money if the city does not stop the games and get casinos built. The Senate might also look to go after an additional USD86 million in slot funded wage tax relief if the city does not pick up the pace in building the casinos.
The owners of the SugarHouse Casino are attempting to get approval for a temporary location while the battle goes on about the permanent location.
