A huge attraction at casinos across the country, the classic roulette wheel remains one of the most exciting casino games available.

Here’s how roulette works: the wheel consists of slots or “pockets” numbered from 1 to 36, which are either red or black. The standard American casino roulette wheel also contains two green slots: 0 and 00 (many European wheels eliminate the 00, which creates more favorable odds for players). Casino players can bet on one, two, three, four or six numbers; or they can choose to bet red or black; high or low; odd or even. Single numbers pay the highest, while either/or bets are lowest. In a casino, the person who spins the wheel is called a “croupier.” When all bets are placed, the croupier spins the wheel and a ball bounces from slot to slot until finally coming to rest in one of them. A casino roulette wheel is a lively place to be when it’s spinning; players love to shout and encourage the wheel to stop in their favor!

The green slots in roulette are where casinos make their money. If the roulette ball lands in the 0 slot, the game ends and all players receive half their original bets back. However, if the dreaded 00 is spun, the House (the casino) keeps all the bets. You can bet that in just about any casino, the croupier is hoping for a big fat double zero.

Jean le Rond d’Alembert was a mathematician from France, who argued that that the probability of a coin landing heads increased for every time that it came up tails.

The D’Alembert System is in a family of systems called The Progressions Systems.

D´Alembert is most usefully employed on even money bets on the roulette table, be that online or at a landbased casino.

Theoretically over the course of 20 spins you might see 20 reds which exposes the key flaw in this system despite what D’Alembert thought a run of 20 reds is perfectly possible. The roulette wheel has no memory, whether it is a virtual roulette wheel or a wheel at Las Vegas, Monte Carlo or Macau. Each spin is a mutually exclusive event and there is a 50/50 chance on each spin that you will get either colour.

You place a USD10 bet on High numbers and you lose, add a unit on the following bet . If you win on the next bet, take your next punt down by a unit again, so you are back down to USD10. Continue in this fashion until you have hit your profit target or you get down to a bet of zero.

In a bizarre turn of fortune, virtual roulette, which has been steadily growing in popularity on the web, is now making big inroads in land based casino. Touch-screen roulette makes for a faster game than the tradional variety.

Machines have a customer friendly, touch screen interface and lower betting limits.

From now two big casino in Detroit are now using them, and the trend is set to continue across to a lot of casino.

There´s no dealer, and the process is automatic.

As well as being faster, many players report that it is less initimidating to play than the live tables.

If you play : Good Luck!

One of the best strategy of roulette is betting multiple times

This type of bet is a combination of the red bet and the martingale system. The difference is that this bet also includes the odd. This strategy starts off with a bet of ex.”USD1 on each the red and the odd, then each bet is treated separately. When one bet loses, it is doubled. When one bet wins, it gets set back to USD1.

The reason that this technique keeps the player in the game so long is that there is almost a 25% chance of winning both the red and the odd and there is almost a 50% chance of breaking even.

In the long run, because the house still has an edge, the player will lose money just like with all other unbeatable casino gambling games.

Roulette is the oldest table game in the casino.

Roulette tables have two betting areas :

The inside betting area contains the individual numbers on the layout. The outside betting area has boxes for the columns, red/black and odd/even and different groups of numbers. Before you start read How to Play Roulette to understand the game. The Outside betting area is where you make bets on groups of numbers as well as Red/Black and Odd/Even.

The following tutorial will show you the different outside bets you can make. The house edge on the outside bets are 5.26 for games using the double zero wheel. You cannot combine outside bets with inside bets to meet the table minimum. If the table minimum is five dollars you must make five dollars worth of outside bets. You could not bet three dollars on the outside and two dollars on the inside.

Red or Black?

You can make a wager on either Red or Black. If you win this bet pays even money. At first it may seem like an even bet but you have to remember that the zero and double zero are green. If you bet on Red and the ball lands on either Black or Green you lose your bet.

Roulette is often considered to be one of the easier games to play in the casino. This isn’t exactly true, and those players are not employing the best of roulette strategies.

Roulette strategies it’s mean methods by which to play, but simply as a guide. Strategies do not claim to mathematically beat the house at all, they usually offer simpler advice on things like setting win and loss limits.

One of the best roulette strategies you can play is one that revolves around bankroll management. I make a example:

If you starts with a bankroll of USD1000. To protect your investment you must set a loss limit of USD1000, their entire session bankroll. This means if you looses this money in the course of playing, they have set a personal rule to not return to the session after getting more money, also you must sets a win limit of USD3000, meaning if you manage to go USD3000 over you original bankroll they will stop playing.

This is as basic as roulette strategies get, but it is extremely effective, if you learn to follow your own rules.

To win at roulette you must learn to stop when you win and when you lost.

From the outlook roulette may look like one of the simplest games at a casino, but don’t be fooled.

To play roulette using all the different kind of bets and implementing a strategy or system can be very rewarding when you win. And of course there’s the money as well.

Essentially roulette is a game of chance, although applying certain techniques can improve your odds.

This is how to play roulette in its basic form without using any systems:

You will notice a big table with a playing grid and a roulette wheel, sometimes built in to the table and sometimes separate. The grid has a series of numbers from 0 to 36 and in the case of American roulette, two zeros. These numbers correspond with the numbers on the wheel. The numbers are also assigned a color, red or black .

The idea of the game is to use chips to bet money on either of the numbers either odd or even, red or black, the rows of numbers them selves or whether the ball will spin and land within the first 12numbers, the second twelve 12 to 24 or the last twelve 24 to 36.

You can also bet money in between two numbers or in the middle of four numbers, giving you better odds.

You may also like to know how to play roulette successfully and earn money. Roulette is a game of chance.

A common one that most serious players learn early on is the Martingale or double up method. To do this start with a small amount like $1 and stick to it. Only use even bets like red and black, betting $1 a piece. If you win switch to the other color, if you lose, on the next round double your money in order to make back what you lost. If you keep losing in a row, keeping doubling up until you are back in the game.

Good luck.
