The roulette game proved to have something of a milestone in the California Gold Rush obviously attracted to the large amounts of money to be made.

There are two different ways of playing roulette, there are two different wheels that are played and these are the American wheel and the European wheel. The difference is minimal in that the American wheel has 38 numbers including 0, 00 and 1 to 36. The European wheel contains 37 numbers including 0 and the numbers 1 to 36. Other differences between the two varying forms of roulette are that in American casinos, the dealers will use their hands to draw in the bets while the European croupiers use a long stick called the Rake to collect the chips. Good money management can go a long way toward making sure you have a successful and enjoyable roulette experience. The simple fact is, if you don’t have money, you can’t play. Additionally, f you lose more than you were prepared to as a gambler won’t enjoy the game.

It’s no good to be sent home after three spins of the wheel. Think about how much and how often you like to bet. Rather than randomly scattering chips over the layout, plan to bet, for example, 20 chips per spin.

If a spin takes one minute from beginning to end, that is 1,800 chips per hour. If you are going to play for five hours, you will need 9,000 chips if you never win. Of course, it is unlikely that you will never win, but you want to have enough chips with you that you can weather an extended losing streak.

Some roulette players feel that a Martingale system, in which you double your bet every time you lose, is the way to go in roulette. Using such a system can quickly devastate your bankroll. It usually takes only a short losing streak of seven to ten spins to run up against the House betting limit or leave you with no chips to continue the system.

If you starts with a bankroll of USD1000. To protect your investment you must set a loss limit of USD1000, their entire session bankroll. This means if you looses this money in the course of playing, they have set a personal rule to not return to the session after getting more money, also you must sets a win limit of USD3000, meaning if you manage to go USD3000 over you original bankroll they will stop playing.

This is as basic as roulette strategies get, but it is extremely effective, if you learn to follow your own rules.

To win at roulette you must learn to stop when you win and when you lost.

The grid has a series of numbers from 0 to 36 and in the case of American roulette, two zeros. These numbers correspond with the numbers on the wheel. The numbers are also assigned a color,  red or black .

The idea of the game is to use chips to bet money on either of the numbers either odd or even, red or black, the rows of numbers them selves or whether the ball will spin and land within the first 12numbers, the second twelve 12 to 24 or the last twelve 24 to 36.

You can also bet money in between two numbers  or in the middle of four numbers, giving you better odds.

You may also like to know how to play roulette successfully and earn money. Roulette is a game of chance.

A common one that most serious players learn early on is the Martingale or double up method. To do this start with a small amount like $1 and stick to it. Only use even bets like red and black, betting $1 a piece. If you win switch to the other color, if you lose, on the next round double your money  in order to make back what you lost. If you keep losing in a row, keeping doubling up until you are back in the game.
